Langley Research Center hosts “What and Who is Two-Spirit Discussion” featuring Two-Spirit and nēhiyo/First Nations Cree community organizer Harlan Pruden, who will share information on sociohistorical documentation from a Nation-specific standpoint and provide a brief overview of how this growing body of knowledge is being used to (re)claim and restore respect, honor and dignity for today’s Two-Spirit people(s) and communities as they navigate and negotiate Indigenous and LGBTQI+ spaces. The event is hosted by Langley’s LGBTQ+ Employee Alliance Group employee resource group and the North American Indigenous Heritage Community employee resource group.
