Brief Bio

I am from Reisterstown, MD and lived there most of my life. I went to undergrad at Gettysburg College from 2014-2018 where I majored in Physics and minored in Mathematics. One summer I performed research analyzing the magnetic activity cycles of stars in the cluster NGC 6811.

I went to Clemson University from 2018-2023 to obtain my Ph.D. researching active galactic nuclei (AGN), or supermassive black holes in the centers of galaxies. More specifically, I modeled the X-ray data of AGN to study the obscuration caused by the torus of gas and dust that surrounds the central engine on parsec scales. I created a machine learning algorithm capable of predicting AGN obscuration using infrared and X-ray data.
