    After graduating from Rice University in 2005 with a PhD in Physics and Astronomy, I moved to the Washington, DC, area. I first held a Postdoctoral appointment at the University of Maryland (2005-2007), then earned a NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) Fellowship at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (2007-2009). Since 2009 I have continued to support NASA missions at Goddard as a scientist with the University of Maryland Baltimore County. My expertise gradually became the development of particle models of neutrals and ions around Solar System planets, moons, and minor bodies to study the consequences of plasma precipitation onto planetary atmospheres, exospheres, and surfaces.

    • Coauthor, 43 peer reviewed papers to date (9 as a first author) with an h-index of 16 (Web of Science).
    • Principal Investigator of 5 funded NASA ROSES proposals since 2009.
    • Guest Investigator, Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment (LADEE) investigation.
    • Co-Investigator, BepiColombo STROFIO Investigation.
    • Co-Investigator, Dynamic Response of the Environment At the Moon (DREAM) Node of the NASA Lunar Science Institute.
    • Co-Investigator, Dynamic Response of the Environment at Asteroids, the Moon, and moons of Mars (DREAM2) Node of the NASA Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute (SSERVI).
