Mr. Haas has over 40 years of experience in electronics and mechanical design, fabrication, testing and evaluation. Responsibilities at NASA have primarily involved instrument development - including proposal reviews and development, conceptual, electronic and systems engineering, field/launch operations, and instrument management. He has also served as lead and systems engineer, and manager on nine sounding rocket missions, including SERTS and EUNIS. Mr. Haas has also supported multi-discipline in-house and multi-center instrument and detector development efforts for advanced R&D and flight missions, i.e. Voyager, COBE, SOHO, STEREO, Solar Probe, Solar Orbiter, VISORS IMAP, and PADRE. Since 2016 Mr. Haas has also been heavily involved in 3D printing, by supporting EPO efforts for NSSEC, and serving as technical lead on two successful GSFC Internal R&D (IRAD) efforts and development of the Heliophysics Innovation Lab/Center.
