  • Brief Bio

    Chris Proctor is a research oceanographer in the Ocean Ecology Laboratory (OEL) at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Geology at Bowdoin College in 2005 and his Masters of Science in Oceanography from the University of Maine in 2008. He has worked at OEL Ocean Biology Processing Group (OBPG) since 2011 where he currently oversees the SeaWiFS Bio-optical Archive and Storage System (SeaBASS). His interests include the collection and analysis of in situ biogeochemical oceanographic measurements, the validation of satellite-based remote sensing radiometers and algorithm development.
