I am a Network Systems Engineer and OS engineer. I specialize in Unix, and especially Linux. I am a strong proponent of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and have been spending a good deal of time working in Open Source infrastructure in the last several years- Openstack, Spacewalk provisioning/config servers, and big data, all in finance, aerospace, and tech sectors. Currently I am focused on high performance computing and high speed networks with the NASA Center for Climate Simulation.
I am a US regular Army veteran, honorably discharged from active duty in 1998, having served as an AH-64 Apache crew chief.
My hobbies include civil aviation, photography, woodworking making music, and all things outdoors.
