Brief Bio


Dibyendu Sur is a Research Scientist in the Geospace Physics Laboratory in the Heliophysics Division since August 2023. Dibyendu Sur also worked as Postdoctoral Associate in Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES), University of Colorado Boulder. Dibyendu Sur obtained Ph.D. degree from University of Calcutta in 2021.

Dibyendu Sur is an expert in Solar Wind-Magnetosphere-Ionosphere-Thermosphere coupling. Dibyendu Sur has experience in ionospheric and magnetospheric modeling including the Whole Atmosphere Model Ionosphere Plasmasphere Electrodynamics (WAM-IPE) and Comprehensive Inner-Magnetosphere Ionosphere (CIMI). Dibyendu Sur is also a member of COSPAR International Space Weather Action Team (ISWAT) and Scintillation Prediction Observations Research Task (SPORT) External Scientist Working Group.
