Dr. Yonggang Yu works on software implementation for the GEOS model. He implemented MAPL sampler codes for field regridding onto time-dependent geometry (e.g., station, swath, trajectory, mask). His previous work experience includes software implementation for JEDI-MPAS, GPU programming related to the FV3 dycore, and shallow-water model implementation on icosahedral grids for Exascale computing.
