Dr. Ferrell is the Outreach Lead.
She attended North Penn High School in Lansdale and she attended St. Jean Private College in Tonneins, France. She attended Albright College in Reading, PA where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Premedical Sciences. Later, she earned a MS degree in Developmental Biology from American University in Washington, DC.
Prior to joining the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Earth Science Division, she was with the Office of Communications and an Outreach/Ed Specialist in Goddard’s OSTEM Office for over 10 years. She also was a NASA Aerospace Program Specialist and the NASA Explorer Schools Workshop Coordinator. She was the Science Lead at the Maya Angelou Public Charter School in Washington, DC and she was their Internship Coordinator. In addition, she taught Honors Chemistry and Honors Biology in Montgomery County, Maryland. She presently is an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, teaching Biology and Chemistry.
She earned her doctorate degree from Oklahoma State University.
