Brief Bio


Dr. Lok N.  Lamsal is a GESTAR-affiliated Research Scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. His current research areas include development/improvement of retrieval algorithm for atmospheric trace gases from orbital and suborbital UV-visible sensors, validation of algorithm/products, and interpretation of satellite observations using in-situ data and model simulations. Prior to joining NASA, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. He received a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the Institute of Remote Sensing, University of Bremen, Germany.
