Brief Bio

Jianjun Jin is a research scientist affiliated with Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI). He joined the Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO), GSFC, NASA in 2012. His research involves developing and improving assimilation of clouds, wind, and temperature measurements made by historical, operational, and new satellites within the Goddard Earth Observing System Model (GEOS) atmospheric data assimilation system. Prior to joining the GMAO, Jianjun Jin studied middle atmospheric chemistry and transport and stratosphere-troposphere exchange using satellite measurements and global climate models. He also studied tropospheric air pollution using various types of observations as well as trajectory and global chemistry transport models.
