Brief Bio

Support the Science Data Processing Branch within the Software Engineering Division through the collaboration with the GMAO project.  The major task consists of setting up and performing seasonal climate prediction experiments using GEOS-5 forecast system on high-end computing resources.  The GEOS-5 Atmosphere-Ocean coupled GCM near real-time coupled ensemble forecasts are conducted on a weekly to monthly basis to study seasonal climate prediction.  Previous experience includes over 20 years of scientific programming, data management, visualization, and parallel processing experience working for NASA: support for modeling studies of Arctic Ocean and high latitude oceanic climate variability including the application of parallel processing techniques, help desk activities for NCCS Thunderhead dual Xeon Beowulf Cluster Machine, compiling the first version of Hilbert-Huang Transform data analysis and visualization package of MATLAB routines.
