Brief Bio
Research Interests
Research Astrophysicist
Heliophysics: Solar AtmosphereDr Leake's research focuses on the magnetism and dynamics of the low solar atmosphere, including the convection zone, photosphere, chromosphere, and corona. He is also interested in stellar atmospheres. Primarily he develops and applies numerical models of solar active region evolution, coronal mass ejections, flares and atmospheric heating, with an emphasis on numerical magneto-hydro-dynamic (MHD) models.
