Frederic Seguin is an astrochemist working in the astrobiology analytical laboratory. He specializes in the development of methods for the detection and quantitation of organic molecules in pristine samples from the early Solar System and Earth analogs. He mostly works using gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and to isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GC-IRMS). Mr Seguin is also part of the OSIRIS-REx sample return mission team for the analysis of hyper-volatile organic molecules from the asteroid Bennu.
