Brief Bio
Working mostly on the development of X-ray microcalorimeter arrays for the Athena X-ray Integral Field Unit Instrument. I lead this U.S. contribution to this European instrument.
Also working on the development of the Lynx X-ray Microcalorimeter instrument concept for the Lynx mission being proposed in the U.S. to the 2020 Decadal Review. For this project he is a Co-lead for this instrument concept.
On terms of low temperature detector development, he continues to work on the development of advanced transition-edge sensor (TES) X-ray microcalorimeters and magnetic calorimeter X-ray microcalorimeters.
