Brief Bio

Dr. Wei is a highly accomplished Project Scientist for NASA's Earth Science Data and Information

Systems (ESDIS), and a respected lead scientist at the Goddard Earth Science Data and Information

Services Center (DISC). With over a decade of experience at ESDIS, she has played a critical role in

advancing the accessibility, discoverability, and usability of earth science data holdings. Her expertise

in data science and collaborative approach have led to numerous successful partnerships with leading

agencies, including NASA, NOAA, NCAR, LLNL, Argonne, and universities. Through her guidance, she has

increased awareness of NASA's earth data and services among science teams and the user community,

advocated for user needs, and expanded the user community by participating in pertinent NASA earth

science team meetings, user/application workshops, conferences, and forums. Dr. Wei's vast and

diverse scientific knowledge, coupled with her outstanding leadership, have established her as a key

figure in the field of earth sciences.
