Dr. David Sibeck

Applied Physics Laboratory
Johns Hopkins University

D. G. Sibeck received his PhD in Atmospheric Sciences at UCLA in 1984, where he was a student of George Siscoe and studied ISEE-3 distant magnetotail observations. He began his postdoctoral career working at JHU/APL on AMPTE/CCE energetic particle and magnetic field observations of the ring current. His present research focuses on solar wind-magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling from the foreshock to the high-latitude dayside ionosphere, with an emphasis on magnetopause physics. He has been an active participant in NASA data system advisory panels.
