The Laboratory For Extraterrestrial Physics Education/Outreach Website

An overview of the Lab's Education & Outreach Web site will be presented as well as an interactive display. The site stresses the scope of the research done in the Lab and the speakers' attempts to make the site appealing for students and the general public. The major elements of the site include a dynamic glossary of relevant terms, a gallery of pictures, our missions (past, present, and planned), resources for teachers, links to related sites and more. Recently we added "Nature's Current Events" that we expect to update regularly to act as a hook to draw a viewer back to the site again and again. We have included a "Fun Stuff" section which exercises the reader's grasp of our scientific vocabulary and basic concepts of our science - hopefully in a fun way. Plans for future additions for the site will be given. We are always attempting to make the site educational and attractive at a very low cost, so suggestions from the audience for additional science and activity information are welcomed.
