Brief Bio

I am a space physicist with a background in aerospace engineering and experience in nanosatellite system design, solid-state charged particle detectors, and plasma physics. I graduated from Boston University with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.

My thesis titled "Remote Sensing of Energetic Electron Precipitation" focused on characterizing the source and effects of energetic electrons connected with the Aurora. We discovered optical auroral signatures correlated with precipitation from the outer radiation belt boundary through funding from the NASA Earth and Space Science Fellowship.

At Goddard, I work with Dr. David Sibeck to understand how the solar wind drives the magnetosphere-ionosphere system, with a focus on helping future spacecraft missions that go to the edges of the Earth's magnetosphere.
