Brief Bio

I am currently an Assistant Research Scientist in the Geodesy and Geophysics Lab (61A) as part of the GESTAR-II Cooperative Agreement with the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).

My interests are in electromagnetic scattering, statistical signal processing, systems design, and remote sensing techniques, especially spectroscopy and active radar imaging. My current research focuses on developing improved techniques for imaging challenging terrain, such as highly vegetated coastal regions, using Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR). My work addresses the contribution of vertical land motion to the effects of relative sea level change and also targets efforts to improve forecasting of hazards, such as floods.

I also work on evaluating novel SmallSat constellations for next-generation imaging capabilities, including contributing to NASA's Surface Deformation and Change (SDC) mission studies (https://science.nasa.gov/earth-science/decadal-sdc).
