  • Brief Bio

Reasearch interest : High-energy astrophysics, cosmology and multi-messenger astrophysics.
My primary field of interest is gamma-ray observations of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs) and transient/variable sources. Other specific areas of focus include: AGN population and Extragalactic Background Light studies, multifrequency studies of Fermi LAT gamma-ray sources, and multi-messenger studies that help linking the γ-ray observations to gravitational waves and neutrino science.

    Appointments

    • May 2016-pres. : Post-doctoral Fellow at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
    • 2015-Apr 2016: Research Associate at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County
    • 2013-2015 : Post-Doc at University of Padova

    Selected Public Outreach

AstroAnimation: a collaboration between animation students and astronomers 2015 - Present
    https://www.astroanimation.org/

I collaborate together with other scientists from the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope with Maryland Institute College of Art students to produce a series of animations based on Fermi research that includes black holes, pulsars, dark matter and more.

Here the link to the space pirates animation that explains the effect of gravitational lensing observed in some Fermi LAT blazars. Scientific publication references:
