    I began my career studying thermal conductivity measurements for my master's thesis at Penn State University. My PhD thesis at Stanford University was the interpretation of a heat-flow study of the Sumatra trench. I was a postdoc at Lamont Geological Observatory (now, Lamont-Doherty Earth Institute) studying heat flow in the Indian Ocean with Dr. Marcus Langseth. After Lamont I went to the Naval Oceanographic Office where I worked on marine geology and geophysical studies. In 1978 I joined the then Geophysics Branch at the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center where I was involved with the MAGSAT mission. Since then I have worked on various space related geological and geophysical studies. Currently I am working on and analyzing Apollo heat flow data and studying new methods of measuring heat-flow on the moon and other solid bodies in the solar system. In addition as an ESA SWARM investigator for crustal magnetic anomaly interpretation I am studying the benefits for crustal anomaly studies that will come with advent of the ESA/SWARM mission by simulating these newer data with ten years of the earlier CHAMP mission. I have worked on proposals for magnetometer bearing CubeSats to measure the crustal fields of the Earth and the Moon. I am also working with colleagues at Goddard and Texas Tech University on a search to recover the unpublished data from the lunar ALSEP instruments. I am a coeditor of a forth coming AGU volume on studies of research on earthquake prediction and/or forecasting. I am an Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Geophysics. I have taught at George Washington University, Universities of Maryland and Delaware.

    Interpretation of satellite altitude magnetic and gravity data. Searching for earthquake precursors. Restoring Apollo lunar scientific data. Preparing a heat flow measuring system for future robotic missions.
