  • Brief Bio

    Henry Selkirk is Principal Investigator of the Ticosonde project which conducts regular soundings for ozone and water vapor in San José, Costa Rica. He also led a team that launched 18 water vapor soundings at Ellington Field during the recent SEAC4RS campaign. Dr. Selkirk continues to lead investigations at NASA Goddard for the FAA’s Aviation Climate Change Research (ACCR) program. This work has involved both extended simulations with the GEOSCCM and analysis of observations of water vapor and other trace constituents for evaluation of the GEOSCCM.

    Since the STEP Tropical Experiment in 1986/87, Dr. Selkirk has been an active participant in over 20 NASA research aircraft and balloon sounding campaigns.
