Brief Bio

My research interests lie at the intersection of aerosols, clouds, and climate, with a focus on aerosol microphysics and aerosol-cloud interactions in polar and marine regions. Prior projects have involved extensive field observations of aerosols and clouds using research aircraft and vessels, as well as at ground sites, along with collaborations with modelers to improve model predictions of aerosol-cloud interactions and cloud microphysics. A core focus has been on improving understanding and representation of cloud glaciation and ice processes in a variety of regimes. Other interests include aerosol-cloud-radiation interactions and natural aerosol emissions, particularly in polar regions. Outside of research, I am passionate about science communication and engagement and enjoy writing about and explaining science for a general audience.
