Brief Bio

Simone Di Matteo obtained his PhD at the University of L’Aquila, Italy, in 2019 with a work focused on the identification of Ultra Low Frequency waves at discrete frequencies in the magnetosphere. Later the same year, he joined CUA and NASA-GSFC as a Post Doc to develop robust spectral analysis procedures for the identification of periodic density structures in the solar wind. He is now PI on a NASA grant aiming to understand the geo-effectiveness of solar wind periodic density structures.
