GSFC Lidar Observation and Validation Experiment (GLOVE)

The GSFC Lidar Observation and Validation Experiment (GLOVE) took place February 1–25, 2025, and was based out of Edwards Air Force Base in California. Utilizing the NASA ER-2 outfit with the Cloud Physics Lidar (CPL), Roscoe, enhanced MODIS Airborne Simulator (eMAS), and Cloud Radar System (CRS), GLOVE (1) validated new ICESat-2 atmospheric data products, (2) validated EarthCARE lidar, radar, spectrometer data products, and (3) tested new Roscoe receiver alignment.
