Brief Bio

Dr. Guoqing Wang is the Ocean Biology Distributed Active Archive Center (OB.DAAC) Scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. She supports NASA’s Earth science data systems through remote sensing data analysis, scientific user engagement, and the development of accessible, user-driven data services.

With a strong background in Earth science, oceanography, and environmental science, Dr. Wang plays a critical role in advancing the usability and scientific impact of NASA’s ocean color and biogeochemical data.

Dr. Wang serves as the Point of Contact for user needs at OB.DAAC and manages the User Working Group (UWG), fostering collaboration between the science community and data system developers. She also facilitates and edits Algorithm Theoretical Basis Documents (ATBDs) and curates scientific content for OB.DAAC’s web platforms to ensure clarity, accuracy, and relevance for a broad user base.
