Instrument Development Experience

  • P.I. on Laser Heterodyne Radiometer instrument for measurements of CO2 in the troposphere. Supported by NASA/GSFC Internal Research and Development (IRAD) program. 
  •   P.I. on Miniaturized Hollow-Fiber Gas Correlation Radiometer instrument for trace gas measurements on Mars. Supported under NASA Planetary Instrument Definition and Development (PIDD) program.
  • Co-I on Fabry-Perot Interferometer instrument development let by William S. Heaps.  Supported under the Earth Science Technology Office Instrument Incubator Program (ESTO IIP).  Passive instrument measures CO2, O2, and H2O in Earth’s atmosphere.
  • Co-I on CO2 Laser Sounder instrument development led by James B. Abshire.  Effort also supported under ESTO IIP.  Active instrument measures atmospheric CO2 and O2.  Led instrument field testing.
