Research Interests

Models and observations to quantify the impact of human activity on the composition of Earth's atmosphere.

Earth Science: Remote Sensing

  • Radiative Transfer Modeling: Applied the VLIDORT and Arizona models for radiative transfer simulations.
  • Cloud Pressure Retrieval: Developed techniques using O2-O2 absorption features around 477 nm.
  • Air Quality Modeling: Utilized WRF, SMOKE, CMAQ, and SBDART to reproduce GOES-R ABI imagery of smoke transport and to forecast hourly PM2.5 levels over the eastern United States.
  • Statistical Analysis: Conducted ozone trend calculations using satellite and ground-based ozone measurements.
