TRAVEL INFORMATION

Map of Goddard Space Flight Center.  Meeting is in Building 33.   Proceed to Main Gate* for check-in.  After pickup of badge at Main Gate, drive to Building 33 via Greenbelt Road and Soil Conservation Road.  Enter gate on East side of Soil Conservation Road.  Bypass entrance to Building 32 and take the next right into the parking lot for Building 33.   Meeting room is H114 on the ground floor.

By Metro
Goddard Space Flight Center is located northeast of Washington DC. Via the Washington Metro, GSFC lies between the New Carrollton (Orange line) and Greenbelt (Green line) stations. Taxis or buses are available from both stations. See Metro System Map

Limosine
Limosine service from all airports is available but only recommended from Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

Taxi
Should cost about $45 from the Baltimore-Washington International airport.  Cost from Reagan-National will be about $50 and from Dulles International airport about $85.

Car (Directions to Goddard Space Flight Center):
From Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport:
Follow the exit road out of BWI Airport and follow the signs for the Baltimore Washington Parkway, Rt. 295 towards Washington. You will be on 295 for approximately 20-30 minutes. Take the Rt. 193-Greenbelt Road/ College Park/ NASA Goddard Exit. At the first traffic light make a left, make another left at next light onto Greenbelt Road. Follow Greenbelt Road for approximately 2 miles to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, which will be on your left.

From Washington National Airport:
Recommend taking the Metro.   If you are driving, leaving the airport you will be on the George Washington Memorial Parkway North. Bear to the right onto 395 North. You will go over the 14 the Street bridge, continue to follow signs for 395 North, following signs for I-295 North (Baltimore Washington Parkway). Stay on 295 North for approximately 5 miles and take the exit for Greenbelt Road (this is just after the exits for I-95). Make a left at the stoplight. This will be Greenbelt Road (Rt. 193). Follow Greenbelt Road for approximately 2 miles to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, which will be on your left.

From Dulles International Airport:
Follow the Dulles Access Road to I-495. Take the first access ramp for Baltimore/Silver Spring/Bethesda. Stay on I-495 for approximately 45 minutes (keep right at the split with I-270). Take exit 23 (Kenilworth Avenue), when exiting you will bear to the right. Proceed to the light following signs for Greenbelt Road (193). Make a left at the traffic light onto Greenbelt Road. Follow Greenbelt Road for approximately 3 miles to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, which will be on your left.

North of Maryland:
Take I-95 South past Baltimore toward Washington, DC. Proceed to exit 23 (Kenilworth Avenue). When exiting you will bear to the right. Proceed to the light following signs for Greenbelt Road (Rt. 193). Make a left at the traffic light onto Greenbelt Road. Follow Greenbelt Road for approximately 3 miles to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, which will be on your left.

South of Maryland:
Take I-95 North towards Baltimore, take exit 22A onto Greenbelt Road (193). Follow Greenbelt Rd. for approximately 2 miles to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, which will be on your left.

 Precise Driving Instructions:  Each of the airports and hotels has online information.   If you are willing to study the maps carefully you may wish to try MapQuest and put your origin and destination into the online program.  You can obtain written directions as well as a map.   The accuracy of such maps may be variable.
