Missions & Projects

Brief Bio

Leonid Petrov has over 30 years of experience in space geodesy, astrometry, and radioastronomy. He has been developing algorithms for all stages of analysis of very long baseline interferometry and their implementation in software and the operational pipeline with the goal to reach the highest level of accuracy and provide reliable estimates of uncertainties. He has led a number of projects that resulted in the most complete catalogue of compact radio sources. He has been working on incorporation of the output of numerical weather models into analysis of space geodesy and astronomy observations.
