The Rock Prep Room featuring the McCrone mill, Rock crusher, and Sieve Shaker.

As part of the Mineralogy Laboratories, the Rock Prep Room houses the machinery needed to process and separate whole rocks into smaller size fractions for analytical analyses.

The Equipment in this lab includes:

  • Rock crusher
  • McCrone Mill
  • Sieves & Sieve shaker
  • Mortars & Pestles
  • Percussion mortar & Pestle
