- Solar physics observations, data analysis, coronagraphic and
  radio instrumentation with an emphasis on the energetics of coronal
  mass ejections, radio observations of the corona/heliosphere.
- Project Scientist (1999- ) for the Very-high Angular resolution Ultraviolet 
  Telescope (VAULT) sounding rocket program, Naval Research Laboratory.
- SECCHI Mission Scientist (2004- ) for the NASA/STEREO mission. 
- Instrument Manager (2000- )for the SECCHI/COR2 coronagraph (NASA/STEREO).
- Co-I on several NASA and NSF proposals.
