ABSTRACT: A radio heliograph to obtain images of the sun in the frequency range 40-150 MHz and a digital spectrograph to obtain continuum spectra in the frequency range 30 to 80 MHz are operating at the Gauribidanur Radio Observatory,India.Brief description of these instruments, methods of image formation and registering spectra will be presented. Observations of Coronal Mass Ejections and their association with other solar phenomena with these instruments will be discussed. The results of measurements on the electron densities and velocities of CMEs close to the sun will also be presented.
