Research Interests

Data Scientist

Solar System: Solar System

- Data processing, archiving of new data sets as well as restoration of legacy data sets written in vendor-dependent formats (IBM 36-bit, Vax floats, BCD, EBCDIC, etc.) for long-term preservation

- Compile metrics of ingest, archive, distribution of satellite/air-borne data for project office, NASA HQ, science teams

- Web metrics tool for Digital Object Identifier (DOI) using Oracle Application Express (APEX)

- Remote sensing of the Earth's Thermosphere, Ionosphere, and Mesosphere using optical instruments (Fabry-Perot interferometer, Fourier-Transform spectrometer, All-Sky camera) to study characteristics of dynamics and thermodynamics in the polar regions : Amundsen-Scott South-Pole station and King Sejong station Antarctica, Spitsbergen Norway, Kiruna Sweden, Resolute Canada, Thule and Sondre Stromfjord Greenland

- Integration, deployment, and automation of various scientific instruments for the operation in high-latitudes

- Spectral analysis of Earth's airglow emissions (O1D, O1S, OH Meinel bands) and CCD image processing of inteferograms.

- Visualization of Space and Earth Science data
