Brief Bio

  •  Study Team Member; Developing the Advanced Technology Large-Aperture Space Telescope (ATLAST). Collaborating with a team of 68 scientists with disparate backgrounds to formulate scienti c arguments for a large-aperture space telescope to succeed WFIRST and JWST.Working with team to ascertain the practicable limits of the mission given projected technology evolution.
  • PI; Conducting a new calculation of the luminosity function for the central Galactic bulge. This work is crucial for the determination of a reliable predicted exoplanet microlensing event rate and will be used to calibrate the success criterion for the WFIRST mission.
  • Collaborator; Developing a new methodology to removed strong pointing drift and jitter correlated noise in Spitzer warm mission data.
  • Co-I; Conducting research into simultaneous gravitational microlensing parallax using observations from ground and space-based observatories. Obtained data from the Deep Impact Flyby mission prior to its conclusion. Actively working to conduct a new approach to crowded- eld di erencing photometry with these strongly chromatic and focus-aberated data.
  • PI; Precision High-Altitude Star Camera (PHAST).
  • Chair, Host and SOC/LOC lead; The 19th Annual International Conference on Gravitational Microlensing, Washington D.C., 2015.
  • Member; Science Analysis Group 11 (SAG11) of Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Exoplanet Exploration Program Analysis Group. SAG11's purview is the de finition of science analysis, modeling and observations necessary to formulate the exoplanet microlensing component of the WFIRST mission.
  • Member; Microlensing Observations in Astrophysics (MOA) collaboration, New Zealand and Japan.
  • Member; RoboNET microlensing collaboration, Las Cumbres Observatory, Santa Barbara, CA.
  • Member, Program Committee and Science Organizing Committee for the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) Space Telescope Conference held in Montreal, Canada in 2014
