Presented to Robert Levy for "Outstanding contributions to radiation studies that improve retrieval of aerosol properties and related critical climate parameters from satellite data, introducing new data analysis and interpretation to address difficult challenges." This award is given to a young scientist who has made recent noteworthy contributions to radiation studies and is regarded as having great potential to become a leading radiation scientist in the future. This award is presented by an international committee of leading and senior scientists, and is awarded only once every four years.
