Jessie Duncan is a solar physicist with a focus on high-energy observation of the solar corona, including both instrumentation and analysis. Currently, she is a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow at Goddard Space Flight Center, investigating plasma heating in solar active regions with the NuSTAR telescope. She received her PhD in physics from the University of Minnesota in 2022, working with Professor Lindsay Glesener. Other prior projects include studies of small solar transients (microflares), coordinated observation campaigns between NuSTAR and other observatories (such as the Parker Solar Probe), and extensive work on development of hard x-ray detector systems for solar applications.
