- Global Modeling Initiative, which is developing and maintaining a model to use to assess the impact of various perturbations on atmospheric composition and chemistry
- Atmospheric processes systems modeling and data analysis (mesoscale atmospheric processes, climate and radiation processes, atmospheric chemistry and dynamics)
- Terrestrial physics modeling (geodynamics, space geodesy and solid Earth physics)
- Hydrospheric processes (oceans and ice, and hydrological sciences)
- Microgravity research
